Is Indian Bureaucracy really bloated or heading for Administrative Disaster?

Indian Bureaucracy - bloated - pampered

Indian Bureaucracy is not only bloated but also is pampered. I see no reason of deploying 10 cops at the residence of an ACP and a staff of about 200 cops for administrative work attached with the office of Special CP?

Very often I find Mid level staff from Inspectors onwards playing games on Computers during office hours. I donot see any reason why COPS should be on 24 x x 365 days job? Similarly I see no reason that entire Govt machinery shut on Saturdays & Sunday even in emergency you have no help. There is a need to deploy the force with a plan and strategically. There is a need to use IT Networking and Central Pooled administrative services and DATA need to be standardized. If not done the Services are heading for Disaster. There is a need to change the mindset as Govt service is not life time surety of service from 11.30 am to 4.30 am without doing allotted work and spending time around offices and creating unwarranted, unproductive work contrary to the Legal frame work.

Even Government has to be realistic and should not behave like a marketing company for fixing targets and reviewing performance.

The strategy of either perform or perish must be enforced. There should be no room for non performers and corrupt within the Organization.
