Is CBEC getting marginalised?


CBEC getting marginalised

As the respectable former Member has stated, respect has to be earned and commanded only through deeds.
In order to earn respect from the Government and the Political Leadership, firstly, CBEC has to demonstrate its nerve to implement at least the much publicized policies of the Government such as Transparency, Ease of doing Business, Litigation Management, Digital India, etc. All stakeholders are aware that CBEC has miserably failed on these fronts and has merely been show casing and repackaging old stuff with utter inability to let its instructions percolate to the field and get them implemented.
What respect will the Board be able to command if its ‘repeated’ instructions to the field, with specific time limits on various areas of administration, are consistently ‘flouted’, but elicit no further action by the Board other than tame extensions.
Let CBEC wake up.
